All Aboard The Egg-Spress Rollercoaster - Pleasurewood Hills

The news is out! The 2019 season will mark a return of an iconic rollercoaster that has captured the hearts and imaginations of many visitors to Pleasurewood Hills.

The ride began its life at the park in 1986 as the Ladybird Rollercoaster and later underwent a transformation to become the Rattlesnake. In 2016, it made its last journey around the track but now, three years later, is set to make a return as The Egg-Spress.

When the gates closed on the 2018 season, work began to create a new identity and prepare the ride for its comeback. Teams have been busy both on and off-site to make the dream a reality so a whole new generation of rollercoaster enthusiasts can enjoy this classic ride for themselves.

A custom-built queuing area has been created and is designed to replicate a chicken coop. It will be topped off with a striking fibreglass model of a rooster and the rollercoaster itself will also be given a new lease of life and tie in with the theme.

The farmyard theme is being extended across the Lake End of the park too. Bear Necessities will become Roosters and will be transformed to look like a ‘barn’ and, in time, will also be given an undercover seating area. The mini dodgems will also be given a new look which will be unveiled later in the season. The team at 3D Creations, a company based in Gorleston, have been working their magic on the popular balloon rays which will also have a new look.

Terms and conditions

All packages must be pre-booked and pre-paid at least two weeks’ in advance of the planned party date. A 20% deposit is required upon booking. Please note that we are unable to refund children cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.

Free admission for parents of the birthday child who are season pass holders will not be entitled to the free admission for parents as this is already included with the pass. Both season pass and non season pass birthday bookings are to collect their entry bands from reception upon arrival.

Menu requirements must be provided at least three days prior to the party; this will help us to deliver a prompt service and not delay your fun.

The prices shown are irrespective of age. Guests under 90cm in height enter the park free of charge (meals are chargeable). Groups are a minimum of 20 paid guests.

These group rates cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or discounts. In order to guarantee the above group rates, we would need a firm booking together with payment at least 14 days in advance of your visit.

Our corporate packages are bespoke based on the requirements of our guests. Exclusive use of park venues are subject to availability. Request for use of the park's conference facilities must be made no less than 14 days prior to visit. Enquiries are confirmed once an invoice has been issued. Any changes of numbers must be confirmed no later than 14 days prior to the date of visit. Bookings with late changes will be charged at the original invoice amount.
