Mascots Impress with their Dance Moves - Pleasurewood Hills

Mascots from the region came together for a dance off with a difference after receiving a special invite from Pleasurewood Hills’ Woody Bear.

Inspired by the return of Strictly to the BBC, the theme park’s cuddly bear sent out invites to a range of businesses and organisations around the region and was thrilled to hear from many like-minded mascots who agreed to take up the challenge.

Taking to the dance floor were Pirate Pete from Adventure Island, Easton the Horse and Daisy the Cow from Easton Farm Park, Hearty from the British Heart Foundation, Hot Sauce from Taco Bell in Gt Yarmouth, Richie the Monkey and Ellie the Elephant from Richardsons Leisure Limited, Barnsley the Dog from Stonham Barns and the Slush Puppie. Woody’s good friends Ronnie and Clarence also joined in the fun.

After several elimination rounds, the numbers were whittled down to just four finalists; Pirate Pete, Easton, Ellie and Barnsley. It was then down to a public vote which saw Ellie the Elephant crowned as the 2019 Mascot Dance Off Champion. When the dancing was over, the mascots found time for a quick spin on the carousel before it was time to head home for a well-earned rest.

A close friend of Woody Bear and park spokesperson at Pleasurewood Hills said: “The competition was friendly rather than fierce but the mascots really did pull out their best moves for the Dance Off. It was great fun to watch and we were really pleased so many were able to join us. The first ever dance off was a great success and we hope to bring it back to the park next year.”

The Mascot Dance Off was part of the park’s Super September celebrations which have seen different activities organised throughout the month. The final weekend which takes place this Saturday and Sunday will see Catboy and Luna Girl from PJ Masks visit the park to take part in story time sessions, led by a narrator and meet and greets sessions.

All packages must be pre-booked and pre-paid at least two weeks’ in advance of the planned party date. A 20% deposit is required upon booking. Please note that we are unable to refund children cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.

Free admission for parents of the birthday child who are season pass holders will not be entitled to the free admission for parents as this is already included with the pass. Both season pass and non season pass birthday bookings are to collect their entry bands from reception upon arrival.

Menu requirements must be provided at least three days prior to the party; this will help us to deliver a prompt service and not delay your fun.

The prices shown are irrespective of age. Guests under 90cm in height enter the park free of charge (meals are chargeable). Groups are a minimum of 20 paid guests.

These group rates cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or discounts. In order to guarantee the above group rates, we would need a firm booking together with payment at least 14 days in advance of your visit.

Our corporate packages are bespoke based on the requirements of our guests. Exclusive use of park venues are subject to availability. Request for use of the park's conference facilities must be made no less than 14 days prior to visit. Enquiries are confirmed once an invoice has been issued. Any changes of numbers must be confirmed no later than 14 days prior to the date of visit. Bookings with late changes will be charged at the original invoice amount.
