Girlguiding Takeover

On Saturday 5th October a convoy of coaches made their way to the region's favourite family theme park for the 2024 Girlguiding takeover of Pleasurewood Hills.

For the day the guides, brownies, rainbows and rangers had complete exclusivity of all the rides, shows and attractions, making great memories with friends and peers. Coaches arrived from Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and even from as far as Oxford. It was an opportunity for all the groups across the entire Eastern region to come together and have fun as a collective. The team at Hautbois Activity Centre were also present offering a range of fun activities, from soft archery and fencing plus more, giving the group a great way to engage with extra activities and share more fun. At the Carousel, the team at Swoperz also held a gazebo for second-hand uniform swaps, along with fun clue hunts with glitter prizes and much more.

While the autumn had seen a mixed fortune of weather, the sun and blue skies held out for the event.

Woody and the team were incredibly pleased to welcome Girlguiding Anglia for the day.

“The Girlguiding takeover was an incredible day. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying a day with friend, making wonderful memories. The team at Girlguiding Anglia did an amazing job with the organization and admissions for the event. They offer a great sense of community and practice intrinsic values that are integral for a young person's development as well as societal advantages as well. We are very proud to be chosen to hold this event and sincerely look forward to welcoming the organization back again in the near future.” Andrew Fuller, sales & Marketing Manager of Pleasurewood Hills.
